Two sisters in the beauty business have taken a dramatic step to convince their father that looks really don’t matter that much.
It’s not often business partners can say, “We’ve been together since day one!” Not only can Deborah Netti and Deanna Cahill say it – it’s true. They are twins, and not only do they think together, they finish each other’s sentences.
“Brows are meant to be sisters, not twins,” says brow sculptor and makeup artist Deborah Netti. It’s an interesting theory – especially coming from a brow sculptor who happens to be the semi-identical twin sister of the Brow Diva, a.k.a. Deanna Netti Cahill.
When I was asked if I would like to participate in this years Rochester’s Choice Awards, I thought, why not, I’ve been in business for 13 years. I’m successful, happy, accomplished and fulfilled. I love my home city, Rochester, all the surrounding towns and especially my home town Webster. And I love the Democrat and Chronicle.
The making of TIM Makeup Co. has been 30 years in the process, whether we knew it or not! My twin sister, Deborah, and I first went into business together 30 years ago (1987) with a makeup company. Debora is a portrait artist and developed a makeup technique that we would teach to women so they could learn to apply makeup that looked natural.
At Brow Diva, we don’t simply wax the brows, we sculpt and transform them into the perfect brow shape for you! Every face and set of eyebrows we meet is unique and deserves to be treated as so. As the first brow sculpting studio in Rochester, I have waxed, trimmed and tweezed thousands of brows into the perfect shape that compliments and balances the clients’ unique facial structure.
